Q- What should be the values passed for Guest Nationality and how does Nationality works in TBOI API ?

Ans-Bookings through TBO India are available exclusively for Indian nationality and in INRs i.e. ALL Foreign Nationalities will be allowed for domestic destinations. For International Destinations, Only Indian nationality will be allowed. For Indian Nationals making International booking, PAN details will be required.

Q- What is the use of Filters ?

Ans- For filters client need to refer the hotel details section wherein the hotel details received such as location, star rating etc can be used for filters from client's end and can be implemented from client's end. Also, please note that the node called "NoOfRooms" has to be refered from client's end which works on the basis of 0(zero) i.e. if the client will pass the value as 0 then all the available rooms will be received in the response and if the same is passed as 1 or 2 or so on then only 1, 2 etc rooms will be provided in the response. Therefore, we always suggest to proceed with passing the same as 0 to get all the available rooms from the supplier.

Q. What are Parallel searches and Parallel Search Implementation ?

Ans-For any city for which you want to proceed for search, you have to refer the hotel codes from static data and these hotel codes you have to break in chunks of 100 codes and then you have to pass these chunks of 100 hotel codes in each search request and hit these multiple search requests parallely.

The Reason behind the request to implement parallel searches: Issue with Pagination & Scrolling: If parallel searches are not implemented and the search is only triggered upon pagination as the page scrolls down, the number of results may not match the total available. This could lead to inconsistent results, especially if filters (such as hotel type or category) are applied. As a result, you may not get all the results you expect, and you could miss out on the cheapest rates and all available hotels/rooms.

Limit on Hotel Codes per Request: In a single search request, you can pass a maximum of 100 hotel codes. If this limit is exceeded, the payload size will increase, slowing down response times. In some cases, the request may time out, resulting in incomplete or failed responses.

By implementing parallel searches, these issues can be avoided, ensuring that you receive consistent, accurate, and timely results.

Q. What is RSP ?

Ans-If your website is B2C, you need to consider the RSP i.e. recommended selling price which you'll receive in the search response with the same name i.e. recommended selling price , the properties wherein you're getting this node you have to ensure that you can not sell your inventory below this recommended price i.e. In case you will be distributing to B2C buyers, then you must implement "RecommendedSellingRate" to avoid any price leakage/violation. On testing you can test these nodes for these hotel codes from your end- (Sample hotel codes on staging for which RSP will be received- "HotelCodes": "1000084,1000027,1000089,1000171,1000167,1000302,1000198,1000538,1000648,1000937,1000957,1000847,1000872,1001049,1001056,1001143,1001122,1001046,1463986,1491912",)

>>Pre Book<<

Ans-Client need to consider all the validations from the pre book response. For validations, you can consider the validation section or the link i.e.https://apidoc.tektravels.com/hotelnew/apivalidation.aspx

Also,Client needs to consider the supplement, anmeties, rate conditions etc from the pre book response in client's booking page. Please note that the prices for the booking made should also be considered from the pre book response itself.

BOOK

Q. What is Hold and Voucher Booking ?

Please note that for voucher we have the node in the book request called Is Voucher booking; When the node "IsVoucherbooking" is passed as True means you're vouchering the booking means you're paying for the booking and generating the invoice for the same. Whereas passing the node "IsVoucherbooking" as False means you're holding the booking as of now and will voucher the same later on. So, this will just confirm the booking and the booking will be on hold from your end. Further , when you want to voucher the booking later on then you have to call the generate voucher method to voucher the booking. Kindly note that to hold the booking you have to refer the last cancellation date as you can hold the booking only till the last cancellation date and after that if the same is not vouchered from your end then the same will be cancelled from our side. Also, non refundable bookings can not be put on hold and has to be vouchered directly. Please check and let us know in case of any further difficulties.

Q. what is published fare ?

You are required to display the Total Fare + your markup on the platform. At the time of sending the book request, you must pass the Net Amount. The Total Fare remains consistent from Search to Prebook stages, so price change issues will not occur in this flow.

Special Case: Published Fares In the case of Published Fares, the Net Amount and Total Fare will differ. Here, the Net Amount is calculated as:

Net Amount = Total Fare + TDS

TDS = 2% of the agency commission

The agency commission is available in the priceBreakup node.

Q. Why is portal verification essential ?

Ans-The portal verification process is essential as it ensures that there are no integration gaps between the TBO API and the client portal. This step guarantees that you receive the expected results within optimal response times, ultimately contributing to a better user experience and stronger business opportunities. If these steps are not addressed now, they will likely impact your business in the future, and you may face more difficulties in working on them later. It's important to consider the sensitivity of these points and make sure they're implemented from the start. Otherwise, it may become difficult to revisit these aspects later on.

Q. How does static data flow works?

Kindly note that the static data works on the below mentioned flow; Country List > City List >TBO Hotel Code List / Hotel Code List> Hotel Details You need to call country list using get method and in the response , you'll receive the list of countries along with their codes In the city list, you'll then pass the desired country code and you'll receive the city name and code corresponding to that city. You'll then call TBO Hotel code list with the city code for which you want to proceed and in the response you'll receive the hotel code, name with short description. Finally when you have chosen a particular hotel for which you want to proceed for the booking you'll call hotel details by passing the hotel codes in the request, corresponding to which you'll receive all the possible details including images, latitude, longitude , star rating etc in the response. Note- Hotel Code List is used to fetch all the hotels from the API whereas TBO Hotel Code List is used to fetch city wise hotel codes.
